Marsa Alam & Luxor, Egypt

Dugong
Dugong

This year we decided to escape the New Years Eve stress. Every year the same set of questions, whom to celebrate with, where to eat and where to go partying. We decided instead to fly to Egypt and go diving. We flew to the very south of Egypt - Marsa Alam - which is not touristy at all. Food wasn`t good, but the little hotel was relaxing. We went every day diving and even were really lucky to meet the famous Dugong (sea cow), a rare species which is nearly extincted from todays underwater world.

One day we decided to take a day trip to visit Luxor, one of the must-sees in Egypt. I had seen it already years before with my parents, but it was worth visiting a second time. Egypts` history is really unbelievable and breath-taking.
